Announcement: Introducing Our Featured Author Program

My editor and I are thrilled to announce that we are officially opening our featured author program.

We recently had the very great privilege to feature “The Spoon” by an amazing young writer named Colt Bayless. I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to work with Colt. He is a remarkable author and a superb person, and I hope we get to feature more of his work very soon.

Both my editor and I enjoyed working with Colt so much that we want to expand our opportunities to feature the work of more artists. I would love to see this site become a venue for all sorts of writers, artists, and creators.

If you are interested in having your work featured on our site, please feel free to get in touch with us! You are welcome to contact me any time at, or message me on Facebook or Twitter!

What We Are Looking For

We are calling for material from all disciplines, genres, and mediums. Creators from fields such as film, literature, music, art, and many others are invited to share their work here. We welcome fiction, nonfiction, reviews, op-eds, social analysis, writing tips, interviews, poetry, advice and much more.

That said, it is very important to us that we maintain the tone and integrity of this creative space. On our site, we focus on work that builds community, breaks boundaries, and fosters a sense of social responsibility. Our content is geared primarily toward millennials and other young adults, and we ask that all submissions be acceptable for general audiences.

The Perks

It’s easy and hassle-free! Creating, maintaining, and promoting your own site is a time-consuming and often messy process, and it can take weeks or even months of intense work to see results. Our site gives you the advantage of an established, maintenance-free platform for your work.

We promote your work! We help you tap into our readers through our social media networks by promoting you on Facebook, Twitter, and more.

We will help you perfect your work! My editor and I will work with you personally to help you make your work the best that it can be. My editor is an awesome guy, and you’ll really enjoy working with him.

You keep the rights to your work! You put so much time and effort into it, why should your work belong to someone else?

How To Get Featured & What We Need From You

We know that your work is a labour of love—emphasis on labour! So we have made sure that getting your work featured on our site is the simple, easy part of the creative process.

To get started:

1) All you need to do is email me at, or contact me on Twitter or Facebook.

2) Don’t submit your work in your message or email. Just tell us a little bit about your work and let us know that you would like to see it featured.

3) Next, tell us about yourself. We do not require your resume or CV, but would certainly welcome it if you have it available. If you have a website or blog of your own, or if you have posted other work online before, we would also appreciate a chance to look it over. If you are on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media sites, please give us a link to your profiles, as well.

4) We are looking for both completed works and ideas for work that you would like to contribute. If you have a sample of your completed work, please attach it. If not, tell us a bit about the concept behind the material you would like to see featured on our site.

5) Tell us about two of the articles, posts, short stories, webseries, or other content on our site that you particularly enjoyed and why they stood out to you.

6) Tell us the title of the last book you read and what you thought of it.

7) Tell us a bit about why you and your work are a good fit for our community.

8) Like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. Unless you do not have either, we will disregard your submission if you do not do at least one of the two. If you use neither Facebook nor Twitter, please let us know that.

9) You’re almost done! Before you hit send, look over our policies, including our SMRP, our House Rules, and our Terms and Conditions. By submitting your work, you are agreeing to abide by our policies. They are kind of dull and dry, though—sorry about that.

10) Look back over your message to make sure you haven’t forgotten any steps, then hit send!

Once we have received your request to have your work featured, my editor and I will look it over and get back to you as soon as possible. If we feel like your submission is a good fit for our community, we will walk you through the process of getting your work ready to take its place in our library!
